A calm tool should be calm for everyone. We want SendGecko, the website and the app, to be usable by people with different abilities, devices and ways of working.
Our goal
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. This is our goal, tested by our team as we build. We haven't had an independent audit yet, so we don't claim full conformance, and we'll update this page when we do.
What we do
- Keyboard first. Everything you can do with a mouse can be done with a keyboard, including the calendar and the composer, with a visible focus ring.
- Readable. Text meets contrast requirements in both the light and dark themes, and zooms and reflows up to 200% and on small screens.
- Screen readers. We use real headings, landmarks, labels and descriptions, and announce changes such as errors and saved states.
- Calm motion. We respect your device's “reduce motion” setting.
- Images. Images have alt text, and SendGecko helps you write alt text for your own posts.
Known limits
Some parts of the Service rely on the networks themselves (their sign-in screens, their previews), which we don't control. Drag and drop in the calendar has a keyboard alternative, but we keep improving it. If something doesn't work for you, we want to know.
Tell us about a barrier
Write to contact@sendgecko.io with the page, what you were trying to do and, if you like, your browser and assistive technology. We reply within a few business days and aim to fix problems quickly.
