Bold, italic and lists for LinkedIn
LinkedIn doesn't have a bold button, so we made one. Select some text, pick a style, and copy your post.

Use styles sparingly: screen readers may read styled letters oddly, so keep key info in plain text.

Questions
How does bold text on LinkedIn work?
LinkedIn doesn't support formatting, so the formatter swaps letters for look-alike Unicode characters. They show up bold or italic everywhere, no app needed.
Will it hurt my reach?
There's no sign that LinkedIn penalizes it. Do keep it light: styled words can be harder to search for and for screen readers to read.
What is the “see more” fold?
LinkedIn only shows the start of long posts. Everything after the fold is hidden until someone clicks, so your first lines matter most.
