SendGecko exists to make posting calmer for real people and real brands. This policy says what that means in practice. It is part of our Terms of Service, and applies to everyone who uses the Service, including the people you invite and everything you publish or generate through it.
Only your own accounts and channels
- Connect only accounts, Pages and channels that you own or have been authorised to manage (for example by a client). Keep proof of that authorisation if you work for clients.
- Don't post to groups, channels or communities you don't administer, and don't use SendGecko to post in someone else's name.
- Don't impersonate a person, brand or organisation, or create accounts with false identities.
No spam and no manipulation
SendGecko schedules your own posts. It is not a tool for:
- Spam: unsolicited bulk messages, the same message pushed across many places, or posting at a volume or frequency that a network treats as spam.
- Fake engagement: buying or selling followers, likes, views or comments, engagement pods that break a network's rules, or automated likes, follows, comments or direct messages. SendGecko doesn't offer these and you may not build them on top of it.
- Account farms: running many accounts that pretend to be independent, or using several workspaces to get around limits or a network's restrictions.
- Deceptive reach: misleading links, hidden redirects, clickbait that hides what the content is, or evading a network's moderation after it removed something.
What you can't publish
Don't use SendGecko to create, store or publish content that:
- is illegal where you or your audience are, or helps others do something illegal;
- sexually exploits or endangers children. We report this to the authorities and end the account immediately;
- promotes terrorism or violent extremism, or threatens, harasses, stalks or doxxes people;
- is hateful toward people because of who they are (race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability and similar);
- is a scam or deceptive financial promotion, including pump-and-dump schemes, fake giveaways, fake investment returns or impersonated support;
- infringes copyright, trademarks or privacy, or uses music, images or footage you have no right to use;
- spreads malware, phishing or anything meant to harm devices or steal data;
- is sexually explicit or promotes regulated goods (such as weapons, drugs or gambling) in a way the target network or the law doesn't allow;
- contains someone's private information without their permission, or is deliberately deceptive about an election, public health or a crisis.
Follow each network's rules
Every network has its own terms, community guidelines and developer rules. When you post through SendGecko you are bound by them as if you posted by hand. For example:
- Label what needs labelling: paid partnerships and commercial content (the composer has the switches for TikTok, Instagram and YouTube), AI-generated or altered media (“Contains AI”), and content made for kids.
- Respect posting limits and never try to get around a network's rate limits, review or restrictions.
- Use only the access the network gave you. Don't share your connection with people who aren't in your workspace.
- Respect music and licensing rules, such as TikTok's Music Usage Confirmation.
Don't misuse the Service
- Don't probe, scan or test the security of SendGecko without our written permission. If you find a vulnerability, please tell us (see Security).
- Don't overload the Service, bypass limits or usage controls, or access it by means other than the app and our published interfaces.
- Don't scrape the Service, or resell, sublicense or white-label it unless your plan says you can (for example agency reports).
- Don't use the Service, or its output, to build a competing product.
- Don't use the Resources feature or link fetching to reach private networks or content you aren't allowed to read.
Using Gecko AI responsibly
- Review AI suggestions. You are the publisher.
- Don't use Gecko AI to produce anything this policy forbids, to pass AI-generated material off as a real person's testimony or review, or to generate fake reviews.
- Follow the usage policy of the AI provider whose model you choose, especially if you use your own key.
What happens if the rules are broken
We don't routinely read your content, but we act on reports, signals from networks, and what we see while keeping the Service safe. Depending on how serious it is, we may:
- ask you to change or remove something;
- cancel scheduled posts, pause a channel or limit features;
- suspend or end the account (see the Terms for the process);
- tell the affected network, and report to law enforcement where the law requires or allows it.
We aim to be fair and to explain our decision. If you think we got it wrong, write to contact@sendgecko.io.
Report a problem
If you see something that breaks this policy, or you think someone is misusing SendGecko, write to contact@sendgecko.io. Include links or screenshots and, if you can, the account involved. For copyright, see section “Copyright complaints” in the Terms.
Changes
Networks and laws change, and so may this policy. We'll update the date at the top, and tell you about significant changes in the app or by email.
